NFL app sends user data unencrypted

Both the iOS and Android NFL apps have been sending and storing  users' sensitive and personal information unencrypted across networks.

This is a shocking mistake to make in this day and age. Thankfully it has been fixed promptly.  It should serve as a reminder that sensitive data should always be transmitted in encrypted form when travelling over public or open networks and this should be enshrined in an organisations data security policies and standards.
