MRI scans show brains “switch off” after numerous security warnings

Arstechnica is carrying an interesting article about how habituation leads to attention drops when processing security warnings (for example SSL warnings). It is an important reminder of the fact that users need to have regular security awareness training to help them understand warnings and what to do about them and that IT teams and developers should be reducing these alerts or warnings so that they are not so regular that habituation occurs and are still meaningful.
